“When it comes to business, diets, working out, writing, or any other dream, success isn’t about how high you fly. Success is about how high you bounce” a quote by well-known author Rachel Hollis. For a lot of people getting back into shape and be a very challenging process; therefore, I have three easy solutions that should make the process easier. Having a positive mindset is essential because without the right mindset the process would be almost impossible. Next, start exercising in small increments then work your way up if your intentions are to gain muscles. Lastly make sure you have a healthy diet if not your workout will be pointless.
“People often focus on their fitness goals—a certain dress size, weight, or athletic achievement, for instance—without appreciating where their bodies are now”, says Jonny Straws, a certified personal trainer based in Orange County, California. Rather than starting your fitness and health journey obsessing about so called “problem areas,” begin from a positive state of mind. Come up with a list that includes at least Five things you really like about yourself at that moment. It’s important that people love themselves now for who they are and not for what they want to become, because sometimes they’ll reach their goal and still not appreciate themselves when they’re at their finish line.
If you are trying to get back in shape that means you probably haven’t worked out in a while. Give yourself a break. “People want to go back to where they were with their fitness a few months ago, but they can’t,” says Liz Josefsberg, CPT, a weight loss expert who worked several years as the director of brand advocacy for Weight Watchers. I think first week you are working back into exercising, start off small. Learn that any exercise is a step in the right direction. Try doing ten minutes of an exercise video or walking for exercise three days a week. These are examples of small workouts not so much over barring ones. This will help you come up with good habits and create the habit you want to have in order to help your amazing body.
Finally, the most important step is your eating habits. It is important you pay attention to the nutrient facts. It is essential you educate yourself and pay attention to the amount of fats, sugars, calories, etc., that you are bringing onto your body. For example, if your workout is thirty minutes long and you burned 80 calories by doing so. By eating a meal that adds up to over 80 calories isn’t good especially if it has a lot of fat as well. Your workout will be pointless and the more junk food you eat the higher risk you have of gaining weight and have less energy. Find a healthy and essential diet that is good for you based on your height, weight, and health. If you are not sure how to come up with one talk to your doctor or a professional trainer.
Getting back into shape can be one of the most difficult things a person can try to achieve. By having the right mindset, working out in small increments, and a healthy diet you will accomplish your fitness goals. Workout with having a mindset it will turn into a habit. Don’t have the mindset that it is too hard and give up because you are overworking yourself. Remember you can do it and the sky’s the limit!
