Vehemently Passionate

The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.

The saddest people I’ve ever met in life are the ones who pretend and don’t care deeply about anything at all. Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any happiness is only temporary, because there’s nothing to make it last. A great fire burns within me, but no one stops to warm themselves at it, and passers-by only see a wisp of smoke. If you have a strong purpose in life, you don’t have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there. I envy people that know love. That have someone who takes them as they are. I would rather a romantic relationship turn into contempt than turn into apathy. The passion in the extremities make it appear as though it once meant something. We grow from hot or cold, but lukewarm is the biggest insult.

I’m not in search of sanctity, sacredness, purity; these things are found after this life, not in this life; but in this life I search to be completely human: to feel, to give, to take, to laugh, to get lost, to be found, to dance, to love and to lust, to be so human. Anyone who is observant, who discovers the person they have always dreamed of, knows that sexual energy comes into play before sex even takes place. The greatest pleasure isn’t sex, but the passion with which it is practiced. When the passion is intense, then sex joins in to complete the dance, but it is never the principal aim. Persistence. Perfection. Patience. Power. Prioritize your passion. It keeps you sane.

Passion has little to do with euphoria and everything to do with patience. It is not about feeling good. It is about endurance. Like patience, passion comes from the same Latin root: pati. It does not mean to flow with exuberance. It means to suffer. If I am to be fallen into love, I will. And if as a result I will appear to be stupid, disillusioned, and of poor judgment, I will. And I would be damned if I cared what other people think. For I would rather be thought of as all of these things, than not love. If in loving, I become the naked man on the horse, I will ride that horse with my head held high. This is my spirit. I am unbreakable. I would rather die of passion than of boredom. Let all of life be an unfettered howl.

I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. HE taught me that if you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be. And yet I have had the weakness, and have still the weakness, to wish you to know with what a sudden mastery you kindled me, heap of ashes that I am, into fire. Anger is just anger. It isn’t good. It isn’t bad. It just is. What you do with it is what matters. It’s like anything else. You can use it to build or to destroy. You just have to make the choice. If you have a dream, don’t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality. There is scarcely any passion without struggle.

Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are great because of their passion. I have learned that you can go anywhere you want to go and do anything you want to do and buy all the things that you want to buy and meet all the people that you want to meet and learn all the things that you desire to learn and if you do all these things but are not madly in love: you have still not begun to live. Only the united beat of sex and heart together can create ecstasy. Enthusiasm can help you find the new doors, but it takes passion to open them. If you have a strong purpose in life, you don’t have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there. Every day People straighten up their hair, why not the heart?

My fault, my failure, is not in the passions I have, but in my lack of control of them.
