Three’s Company

I would prefer an intelligent hell to a stupid paradise.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe. A stupid man’s report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand. Stupidity isn’t punishable by death. If it was, there would be a hell of a population drop. Evil isn’t the real threat to the world. Stupid is just as destructive as Evil, maybe more so, and it’s a hell of a lot more common. What we really need is a crusade against Stupidity. That might actually make a difference. There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life. Beauty fades, dumb is forever. Anger is stupid, and stupidity will kill you more surely than your opponent’s blade. The only victories which leave no regret are those which are gained over ignorance.

If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign? The more stupid one is, the closer one is to nonreality. The more stupid one is, the more unclear one is. Stupidity is brief and artless, while intelligence squirms and hides itself. Intelligence is unprincipled, but stupidity is honest and straightforward. When a great genius appears in the world you may know him by this sign; that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. stupidity The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid. It is hard to befool a fool who has already been fooled so many times.

Those who never retract their opinions love themselves more than they love truth. Humans beings always do the most intelligent thing after they’ve tried every stupid alternative and none of them have worked. Avoidable human misery is more often caused not so much by stupidity as by ignorance, particularly our ignorance about ourselves. Intelligent people know they are intelligent. They also know that one person cannot know all, hence a person is not stupid simply because he is ignorant of one thing or another. They know that, to another intelligent person, they will not appear stupid in asking for an explanation of what they do not know, and so their ignorance on any particular issue does not become an embarrassment. If your brains were dynamite there wouldn’t be enough to blow your hat off. Empathy nurtures wisdom. Apathy cultivates ignorance.

Everyone has a sense of humor. If you don’t laugh at jokes, you probably laugh at opinions. The man whose whole life is spent in performing a few simple operations, of which the effects are perhaps always the same, or very nearly the same, has no occasion to exert his understanding or to exercise his invention in finding out expedients for removing difficulties which never occur. He naturally loses, therefore, the habit of such exertion, and generally becomes as stupid and ignorant as it is possible for a human creature to become. Stupidity cannot be cured. Stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death. There is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity. Intelligence minus purpose equals stupidity. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. Our lives are businesses that are sometimes run by idiots.

The biggest threat against the survival of humanity is not brutality and unkindness, it is stupidity and selfishness. Stupidity is like bumping into a wall all the time. After a while you get tired of it and try to look the situation over and see if there’s a doorway somewhere. I think most people eventually do look for the doorway and stop bumping into the wall. Intelligence arouses fear and respect, the lack of it keeps one on the narrow minded road of disrespect, stupidity and inferiority complex. The only people that can’t handle the truth are those that suffer so much anxiety that they will live in denial, in order to prevent their illusion from being destroyed and feeling more anxiety. Honestly, if you were any slower, you’d be going backward. All the inane, meaningless noises people make that pass for intelligent conversation. They might as well be pigs grunting in the pen.

I like solitude. It is when you truly hear and speak your natural, unadulterated mind, and out comes your most stupid self as well as your most intelligent self. It is when you realize who you are and the extents of the good and the evils which you are capable of. We have become a nation of thoughtless rushers, intent on doing before thinking, and hoping what we do magically works out. If it doesn’t, we rush to do something else, something also not well thought-out, and then hope for more magic. But the more I think about it, the more I think PC words are a crock of shit. If I want to describe something using a stupid word, I should. It’s just another one of those things I don’t understand: everyone impresses upon you how unique you are, encouraging you to cultivate your individuality while at the same time trying to squish you and everyone else into the same ridiculous mold. I am not perfect, but if I looked perfect to everyone I must have been rocking imperfect perfectly to a few imperfect souls that seek imperfection vs. perfection, in an imperfect world where God asks us to seek perfection for our imperfect souls. The belief that the world was created yesterday seems to hold great appeal to those born at that time.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
