The Chicago Jazz Festival showcases live musical performances by important Chicago artists alongside some of the greatest names from around the world! Since 1979, the festival’s mission is to showcase Chicago’s vast jazz talent alongside national and international artists to encourage and educate a jazz audience of all ages.
August 23-30 will feature FREE performances at venues all across Chicago with collaborating organizations Constellation Chicago, 51st Street Business Association, Hungry Brain, Englewood Jazz Festival, Elastic Arts, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, AACM – Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, Public Media Institute, South Side Jazz Coalition, Inc., The Birdhouse, Inc., and Sleeping Village; then culminating at Millennium Park on August 29 – September 1.
