In 1980 a group of restaurateurs approached the Mayor of Chicago with the idea of the Taste of Chicago festival. Today the Taste of Chicago is the world’s second biggest food festival. The reason for looking forward to summer is finally is here! Chicago kicks off their 38 year of the Taste of Chicago. For those who have yet to go, expect more than 200 dishes to try, 70 eaters, plus entertainment. Be prepared to try Chicago’s hottest restaurants. Here is what to expect on this great food festival.
Finger licking ribs! What is the Taste without eating ribs? “Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs” are nice and crispy grilled, topped with their spicy BBQ Sauce
This year the festival surprised everyone with a new zip line. Zip across Grant Park and view the city.
Expect a taste of Puerto Rico from the restaurant “La Bomba.” Bite into their delicious jibarito.
Prepare to dance with a spectacular music performance. Just how Thursday kicked off with performance by Colombian singer, Juanes.
