CHICAGO: What’s better than being fit and toned? Being fit, toned, and TANNED, of course! ;P Many of you already know that I am in to health and fitness and love helping people, but one thing that I can’t STAND is the fact that many people…—especially young women—go to indoor tanning salons. It has been proven in more and more research that indoor tanning is heavily damaging and increases the risk of skin cancer exponentially more than sun tanning does. In fact a recent study done by the chemists at the Skin Care Foundation, those who tan indoors under UV lights develop melanoma ***74% more*** than someone who has never tanned indoors. Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, and it has SKY ROCKETED since indoor UV tanning became popular. But what gave me the ultimate push in this situation was when a friend of mine came to me recently with some shocking news. She was diagnosed with melanoma. I just stood there in shock-staring off into space. I couldn’t believe this. We both started tanning in high school and while I switched to spray tanning (still tanned in beds here and there), she continued on and off. That was all it took apparently. It feels different when it hits home like that with someone you know. Of course, this is the Windy City—not Cali—so we don’t have the luxury of tanning outdoors any time we choose. At the same time, being so white that you blend in with the snow isn’t exactly an appealing option either. SOOOO… I have decided to open a mobile spray tanning business! I myself have been airbrush tanning for a long time now and I love that I can get a natural looking tan without worrying about aging my skin or causing myself to get skin cancer. Trading glowing skin for risk of cancer and all of the pain and treatment that comes along with it just isn’t worth it. So if you’re interested in looking tan and hot but want to protect your skin, shoot me a private message and we can discuss my tanning services! (I will come to YOUR location to tan you too!) I have a few articles here: Please let me know which top you prefer. 1. Airbrush vs. Regular Spray Tanning Why is airburshing better than your regualr spray tan? Airbrushing allows the tech, in this case; me to get in all the areas that may be missed, and usually are by the mystic spray you’ll find at your local salon. Airbrushing allows me to apply as much solution as needed-not too little and not too much leaving you with the perfect glow. It allows me to maneuver around and avoid problematic areas such as elbows, hands, and ankles from holding onto to extra color, also allowing me to hit targeted areas (maybe you don’t want certain parts of your body sprayed and I can do that!) All good things must come to and end, but it’s a pretty ending like a sunset =] Our airbrush will begin to fade usually after 7 days or so-with proper care of course, but instead of the blotchy streaks and blotches all over, it will fade like a real tan more realistically and evenly. One thing that I don’t like about the mystic tans is that you can not fix mistakes caused by overspraying or underspraying leaving you with blotches and uneven marks. 2.
