This week I’m going to switch gears slightly from nutrition to lifting and hitting the gym. Just like nutrition, there are different ways and different paces for everyone. Getting physical activity does not even require a gym membership. Walks and runs in neighborhoods, or paths are 100% FREE! To me – the gym is my getaway and my home to release stress. I keep a weekly schedule with the different muscle groups for different days. Each week I just change the different types of exercises I do. Muscles have memory, doing the same exercises all the time will not help them grow.

My typical weekly schedule looks as followed…

  • Monday’s: CrossFit type workout
  • Tuesday’s: Legs
  • Wednesday’s: Back
  • Thursday’s: Shoulders
  • Friday’s: Bi’s and Tri’s
  • Weekend: Cardio depending what day I go and what day I rest.

This is what works for me. You can change different muscle groups to whatever works for you. I just learn everything from experience. Someday, I would love to be a certified trainer. I rather do more reps and les weight than using all my energy in a few reps with heavy weight. You can slowly teach yourself through videos off social media, or find a local trainer.
