It seems to me that everyone is into Health and Fitness now a days, including myself. I am not a fitness guru or a nutrition specialist, I am your everyday Mom of 4 kids, who works full time, and has to take care of all the household responsibilities just like everyone else. I have always been athletic and have been working out for many years.
I wanted to share my story in hopes of inspiring some, if not all of you, to #Take The Challenge! After taking a new position for work and hurting my shoulder, I stayed out of the gym for longer than I would have liked to. I visit my doctor every 6 months for blood work  to check my cholesterol and thyroid. Needless to say my last visit did not go well. My overall Cholesterol came back high and my Doctor wanted to know what was going on. I asked him to give me 6 months and I promised I would get back to the gym. As I started back slowly, I was challenged by a friend after I put a Throwback picture up on Facebook, that if I made the commitment he could help me get back to the way I looked 20 plus years ago.
Without any thought given, I took his challenge and started to step up my workouts to the next level. Hitting the gym, starting with some simple supplements, and changing my diet a little at a time, I was determined to get back to when I was in my early 20’s. I am very excited to tell you that in a short 6 month span my cholesterol levels have dropped significantly. My overall Cholesterol went from 241 down to 198. My LDL went from 143 to 120 and my Triglycerides went from 92 to 64. I am determined to do whatever it takes to not have to go on cholesterol medication and am very excited about my results.
Have I hit my goal? Not yet, but everything thing takes time, discipline, and the will to never give up. I am headed in the right direction and that is what is important, Small steps lead to big goals.
So here is my Challenge to you, if you would like to take it…
1) Pick a Throw back Picture of yourself that you would like to get back too.
2) Begin a workout routine no matter how small it may be to start
3) Look at your diet and see what needs to be changed.
4) Take a Before pic, along with your weight, and all measurements and hold them in a journal
Let’s work together and hold each other accountable. The sky is the limit! Whether you have worked out for years or are just starting, we can do this together. You can find me on Facebook as Sheri Ladd and on Instagram as Ladd737
                                                        Time to get it!
