What’s summer without warm weather, good friends, loud music, and concerts under the stars? There’s no better place than Chicago to enjoy live music under the stars. Chicago is home to some of the best outdoor venues like Wrigley Field, Soldier Field, and the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater.

Below are the seven must see concerts of the summer:

1. Imagine Dragons

Originating in Las Vegas, Nevada, Imagine Dragons have been creating pop rock anthems since 2008. It wasn’t until 2012 when their song “Radioactive,” was released that their fandom began to grow. Since the release of “Radioactive,” the band has had three number one hits on the Billboard charts and seven top ten hits. Coming off other success from songs “Demons,” “Believer,” “Thunder,” and “Whatever it Takes,” Imagine Dragons are bringing their Evolve Tour to Chicago. Get ready for heart pounding, head banging beats as you enjoy their pop rock sound under the stars.

2. Kesha and Macklemore

When: July 14

You know “Thrift Shop” was your jam back in 2012, even if you never admitted it to yourself. Joining Macklemore on his tour is pop star Kesha. The pair sing together on Macklemore’s album “Gemini,” track “Good Old Days.”

3. Niall Horan

Coming off success with the popular boy band One Direction, Niall Horan is going on his second tour for his album “Flicker.” Joining Niall on his United States leg of the tour, is country star Maren Morris. The pair sing together on Horan’s album, on the track “Seeing Blind.”

4. Kenny Chesney

Where: Soldier Field
When: July 28

Country singer Kenny Chesney brings his Trip Around the Sun Tour to Soldier Field at the end of the month. Enjoy catchy, summer-like tunes with the Chicago skyline in the distance.

5. Beyoncé and Jay-Z

When: August 10

This one’s self-explanatory, it’s Queen Bee and Jay-Z, who would want to miss this? The power couple brings their On the Run II tour to Chicago at the beginning of August. Treat yourself to tickets before the stress of school hits you.

6. Luke Bryan

When: September 1

Country superstar Luke Bryan brings his What Makes You Country tour to Wrigley Field in September. Accompanying Bryan are country stars Sam Hunt and Jon Pardi. Get ready for the best country concert of the summer. Country music and Wrigley Field, nothing better or more American.

7. Fall Out Boy

When: September 8

One of the world’s best rock bands is ready to end the summer right. Fall Out Boy brings their The MANIA tour to Wrigley Field in September. What better way to end your summer with throwback tunes like “Thnks Fr th Mmrs,” “Dance, Dance,” “Sugar We’re Goin Down,” and many more.
