Happy Place is a pop-up exhibit/interactive activity that incorporates all things happy. It was created in November 2017 by Jared Paul, who believed that the world should have a lot more happy. Happy Place was started in Los Angeles, California and has grown so large that it is now on tour across the country. From June 28th to August 6th, Happy Place pop up can be located at 1004 N Elston Ave. The admission is 30 dollars per individual and valet parking is 12 dollars. Happy Place was designed to make your day a little bit brighter, and is perfect to visit after a long week.
The beginning of the exhibit starts on the exterior of the warehouse that it is located in. A giant inflatable yellow sun is located on the outside, pretty hard to miss. Essentially the exhibit is a variety of different rooms that you walk through while observing and touching what is around you. Many of the rooms are filled with picturesque backdrops, and others with interactive ball pits to jump or sit in. A confetti machine is located in the exhibit, as well as confetti filled boxes where confetti angels can be made. The exhibit finishes off with a different array of rainbow foods you can try such as rainbow grilled cheese and rainbow cotton candy. Although the exhibit is only in Chicago for a short amount of time, you should make sure you visit it while it is here. Happy Place could be the perfect weekend experience to visit with friends after a long week, or could be just another fun thing to try out.
