With bars and restaurants around every corner, Chicago is serving up some pretty cool cocktails. The next time you’re looking to shake up brunch or happy hour, consider a few of these creative libations.

Tropical Escape

The Bamboo Room at Three Dots and a Dash brings a tropical twist to its signature cocktails. On the menu you’ll find Daiquiris and other rum based drinks presented with a tiki theme, including pineapples, totem poles and barrels. Keep your cameras ready.

In this together

Grab a friend and head 26 floors above Eurostar’s Magnificent Mile Hotel. Apogee’s large format menu comes with drinks big enough to share. The Crimson Fall Sangria made with rum, vodka, orange, raspberry and drambuie serves 3-4 people. Grab 2 more friends and order up the Mr. Nice Guy, made with vodka, ginger, pineapple and cinnamon citrus smoke. The oracle, mixing Absolut, Aperol spritz, basil, and elderflower serves six.

Brunch is always a good idea, but the next time you’re at Sunday brunch at Parlay Joy, try the Scrumdidilyumptious. It’s a mix of Cruzan strawberry, pineapple, lemon, orange, and cranberry juice and topped with Chandon. The best part is the presentation: a giant gumball machine with bendy straws. www.parlaychi.com
