More Violence Is Not The Solution

I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.

The universe is so well balanced that the mere fact that you have a problem also serves as a sign that there is a solution. Every solution to every problem is simple. It’s the distance between the two where the mystery lies. A critic looking at these tightly focused, targeted interventions might dismiss them as Band-Aid solutions. But that phrase should not be considered a term of disparagement. The Band-Aid is an inexpensive, convenient, and remarkably versatile solution to an astonishing array of problems. In their history, Band-Aids have probably allowed millions of people to keep working or playing tennis or cooking or walking when they would otherwise have had to stop. The Band-Aid solution is actually the best kind of solution because it involves solving a problem with the minimum amount of effort and time and cost.

I believe in political solutions to political problems. But man’s primary problems aren’t political; they’re philosophical. Until humans can solve their philosophical problems, they’re condemned to solve their political problems over and over and over again. It’s a cruel, repetitious bore. Love begets wisdom, thus it is, as often misconceived, more than vain layers of tenderness; it is inherently rational and comprehensive of the problem within the problem: for instance, envy is one of the most excused sins in the media of political correctness. Those you find most attractive, or seem to have it all, are often some of the most insecure at heart, and that is because people assume that they do not need anything but defamation. My optimism and confidence come not from feeling I’m luckier than others, and they sure don’t come from visualizing victory. They’re the result of a lifetime spent visualizing defeat and figuring out how to prevent it. Think outside the square. Think for yourself don’t just follow the herd. Think multidisciplinary! Problems by definition, cross many academic disciplines.

Think logically, and you have a chance to solve a problem. Reacting emotionally to it prolongs and worsens your dilemma. Fear is the lack of faith in one’s ability to create powerful solutions. I doubt if there is any problem in the world today social, political or economic that would not find a happy solution if approached in the spirit of the sermon on the mountain. The improvisational ability to lead adaptively relies on responding to the present situation rather than importing the past into the present and laying it on the current situation like an imperfect template. Complex problems often have simple solutions. The biggest weapon of billions of people against the difficulties of life is the desperation solutions that sadden humanity instead of real solutions that suit human dignity. For an objective approach to a problem, you need to have an overview rather than involvement.

Destiny depends on how you choose to respond to every situation life presents to you. Some challenges are like David facing Goliath, fast and to the point. Most of them, however, are like David facing Saul: it takes forever. If you feel that you need to argue, do so once you’ve listened, because if you do you’re likely to realize that there’s really nothing to argue about. And that’s the best argument for not having one. Problems are for solving. The same way apples are for eating. It’s all in our attitude that we eat an apple we relish and quake before a problem. It is better to solve one problem five different ways, than to solve five problems one way. Denial is denying the existence of a problem. It’s a standard tactic that substitutes deliberate ignorance for thoughtful planning. Denial is a liar, which compounds the problem by blocking our creative vision towards the possible solution. Denial is a deceiver too. It makes us do things that pleases us & not the things which can resolve the problem.

The universe is so big, much bigger than you and me and bigger than any of our mistakes. There are always opportunities to forgive and be forgiven. Sometimes, the popular choice doesn’t always have a positive impact, but in the understanding and reasons for each choice, solutions are found and each need can be met. The government does not have a lot of answers, so the more we rely on the government, the more dependent we become, and the more we put our faith into the hands of others. The responsibility relies on you and me, us. The problem is when we’re bent on dealing with problems, we end up having a problem with facing reality; But when we face reality and accept our present situation, problems become less of a problem. It is only through our positive thinking, where problems have been replaced by challenges, that we can act to create the forces which will lead us to the solutions. Rioting and looting is no solution. Non violence may not solve all your problems; Violence will be the cause for all your problems. To fix the root cause of dysfunctional system, you need to look out of the system in order to look into the system. Creativity is the fruit of imagination.

A person of faith does not allow problems to overwhelm them. They use their faith to find solutions. Artificial makeshift intelligence is forcing human endeavor away from simple, algorithmic and repetitive tasks towards solving problems and incubating new ideas. It is the human mind, as opposed to the human body, which has been an underutilized resource for far too long use it instead of violently destroying any advancements made to date however large or small. Awareness and alertness help us spot dangers, find quick solutions to problems and, of course, answer difficult questions with confidence. I hope one day you find out what you really care about.I hope one day you learn to solve a problem without sleeping with it. Persuasion with good intention helps problem solving; manipulation often serves the ego. I don’t have all the answers. More than that, I don’t even know half the questions. But I can rest in the fact that God has both. Analysis of error begins with analysis of language. If you want the world to take you seriously, be important. If you want to be important, solve problems don’t create even more. For now, what is important is not finding the answer, but looking for it.

Be the solution, not the pollution.
