I am complimented most often on my smile. However, it is in making others smile that I find the most joy. And I appreciate those that make me laugh too. Laughter is the best medicine there is, which is why I love comedy. It feeds my soul when I am laughing with people that I love. Ironically, I find myself laughing even when times are tough. In fact, I laugh hardest when things are at their worst. It’s important that you find joy in your life, especially when it looks like only despair.
Within the past 5 years, I’ve dealt with death, disease and divorce. And they have all hit my circle pretty hard as well. No one said that this grown up life was going to be easy. We’ve had tears and pain as we have adjusted to our ever-changing lives, but I marvel at how we have always managed to be thankful for life and to find laughter.
Find your laughter when you feel like crying…It’s going to be ok.
Find your laughter after the hurt…There is growth in pain.
Find your laughter after the diagnosis…Believe in miracles.
Find your laughter after the pink slip…You are moving on to something better.
Find your laughter after the heartbreak…What is for you will be for you.
Find your laughter after the rain…Look for the rainbow.
Laughter is so, so good for the soul. Ensure you lead a life that brings a smile to your face. Keep smiling. Keep laughing. It truly is the best medicine.
