Dana Being Dana

My Spelman sister, Jessica Victoria Steele, has been a day one supporter of Dana Being Dana, silently cheering me on by sharing my posts and the live video without fail.  I am grateful for her unconditional sisterly love and support; those of you out there living your passion know exactly what it means when people show up for you in meaningful ways.  So, it is my honor and pleasure to feature her tomorrow on Dana Being Dana LIVE  at 10 PM ET/9 PM CT on Facebook and intellectualradio.com, an iHeartRadio station.  Please tune in for a very special treat.

About Jessica Victoria Steele, Cellist –  Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Jessica started playing the cello when she was 10 years old. Her musical talent landed her admission into the Overton School of the Performing Arts and the opportunity to study at The Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot.  Jessica graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in French and a minor in Music. She continued on to obtain a Masters in Education from Christian Brothers University and a Masters in English with an ESL concentration from The University of Memphis. Professionally, Jessica has served as a French, Spanish, ESL and English teacher for kindergarten through university levels of study for the past 18 years in public and private schools. She has continued her passion of playing the cello by playing at private events, performing with and mentoring youth orchestras and serving as entertainment with bands.
