For over 20 years, The Taste of Randolph Street food festival has been bringing live music and food from Chicago’s best restaurants. Held from June 15–17 people from all over the state of Illinois gather to Randolph street for this yearly experience. This unique festival is perfect for all ages, and is an ideal summertime activity for friends and families. The Taste of Randolph also includes activities for children to play on, so the festival really is perfect for anyone looking for a good time. Located on the middle of Randolph street for about four blocks, the weekend is filled with rows and rows of some of Chicago’s most popular restaurants. The festival also includes many local artists and DJs for entertainment throughout the weekend. Following these are an array of  local businesses that cater to many (even dogs), and allows everyone to do their shopping, eating, and relaxing to music all in one.

Like many other festivals The Taste of Randolph had more than one stage. Bands performed throughout the weekend on these different stages and brought a wide variety of music genres to the festival. The festival itself featured more than thirty total artists of varied genres, even including DJ’s. The full lineup is featured on The Taste of Randolph-Star Events webpage, and gives a detailed itinerary of when each band is playing- convenient for those who are looking for something specific. The artists perform throughout the weekend and are perfect for entertainment while enjoying the different kinds of foods there are to be offered.

This year, The Taste of Randolph had over sixteen restaurants participating, each with their own tent covered booth located along the sides of the festival, perfect for trying each and every one of them. The Taste of Randolph is perfect for those who are wanting to try many smaller dishes at once, hence the word “taste” in the name of the festival. The restaurants are located under small tents and give out their dishes in festival-style trays. Being able to taste and try many different restaurants all at once is a unique experience that is not offered all the time. This setting gives a superb place for many to find restaurants that they are wanting to visit again, while also trying dishes that they have never had before. From Italian pizzas, to French comfort foods and even Latin American drinks: The Taste of Randolph had it all.
