You’re different. And I’m different too. Different is good. But different is hard. Believe me, I know.
Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist. If you celebrate your differences, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated. Don’t dare to be different, dare to be yourself if that doesn’t make you different then something is wrong. A conscious human is driven by their conscience, not popular opinion. Originals cost more than imitations. The haters are the ones that must investigate what is wrong with themselves and others and why they spread negative vibes instead of encouraging people to follow their dreams and be better in what they do.
Today I am in control because I want to be. I have my fingers on the switch, but have lived a lifetime ignoring the control I have over my own world. Today is different. You can change the place you live, your clothes, your interests, your friends, your religion and even your partner. However, if you forgot to change your mind, attitude, beliefs about the world, how you treat people and how you plan to be different this time around, why did you even bother? I guess the message is that is shouldn’t matter if someone moves differently, or looks differently, or talks differently. Is biotic differently. What matters is that we’re all thinking beings, and if we are thinking beings we ought to be able to find common ground somewhere. Personality begins where comparison leaves off. Be unique. Be memorable. Be confident. Be proud.
The people you think are the happiest are usually the saddest; that’s because they see more and feel deeper than others do. They are the sensitive and they see beyond the veil of what’s tangible and what’s not. They wear no masks and can see through the masks of others. Be different. Be original. Nobody will remember a specific flower in a garden filled with thousands of the same yellow flower, but they will remember the one that managed to change its color to purple. Oftentimes in a society when people of a certain type, whether individual or a group, are subconsciously portrayed by the media as abnormal, they also slowly, subconsciously become enemies of that society due to feelings of cultural guilt. Ultimately by this the inflated media is an enemy of its very own cause.Passion is different from interest. Those who are just interested in things have the “wish”, but passionate people have the “will”. Not all doors open in the same direction and with the same effort!
What is a genius? A person who demands little to nothing from others, but is often found extremely difficult to have around. Easily mistaken, it is not about a love for adversity, it is about knowing a strength and a faith so great that adversity, in all its adverse manifestations, hardly even exists. It’s important to understand that at every point of opposition to who we are or to what God has called us to do, we are presented with the options of either conforming and giving in, or standing our ground and becoming stronger in who God has made us to be. You were born an original work of art. Stay original. Being different is dangerous in a world that requires conformity. Out of difference can come the reinforcement of two important values. One is tolerance and the other is awareness that people who disagree over the things they hold dear really can live together in love and respect.
Maybe the world isn’t really different, but I am different, and I am in the world.
