Mental illness disproportionately affects the Black community, but there are few people taking action to bring about healing. The good news is that Sista Afya, an organization tailored to Black women, is here to provide the help! Founded in 2017 by Camesha Jones, a social worker and mental illness survivor, Sista Afya seeks to provide quality mental wellness services on Chicago’s South Side.

I am truly honored to have my sister, Camesha Jones founder of Sista Afya joining me in studio this week!  She will share her courageous story of living with a mental illness and what she’s doing to support other Black women so they can also be well.

Holiday Blues, Holiday Blessings (Anxiety and Depression) on Dana Being Dana LIVE this Wednesday at 9 PM CST on Facebook or intellectualradio.com, an iHeartRadio station.
