Noah Yong Simon believes the world will be united in his lifetime and he wants to be on the team that does it. Possessing an inventive mind and strong work ethic Noah is creating technology to unite cities together. As a part of his drive to #UniteChicago he is hosting networking events and social gatherings to enrich the culture of Chicago.
His team’s first project in Chicago is UniteChicago.club.
With the mission to be the center ground and rallying point for leaders and communities to come together, share ideas, and build positive reputations with each other his team is setting forth to change the culture of Chicago in the best way possible. What would happen if our city was united together in mind, body, and spirit? What would happen if we all had the epiphany that we are all here together in this exact moment? Can we spread that awareness and help people perceive the city and all the people living here as part of their community and network? These are some of the questions his team is seeking to answer.
Alongside Noah is his coding buddy from a Northwestern Bootcamp, Anthony Schilt, who is a solid right hand man and great business partner. Mary JL is also on the team and she brings a wealth of experience hosting events and pushing people to improve their lives. Joe Dankha helps out with content strategy and films some of their events while Jun Li helps with marketing materials and keeping the team level headed. Additionally, there are few others who are involved with #UniteChicago and make the team well rounded and robust.
UniteChicago also develops technology under the OurPangea, INC umbrella. Their first prototype is a web app that makes speed networking faster. “We have invented a system that gives our users expansive access to their community. If you contribute, you can collect.”, says Noah. It’s free while they’re in testing and building up their database but when it’s market ready they’ll put a pay wall up so they can improve the quality and reinvest in the technology.
They have other projects in the works, he hints, but they aren’t ready for public disclosure quite yet. Their launch party is from 7-10pm Saturday, February 16th at Zed451 Brazilian Steakhouse. You can buy tickets here:
