Kali Cramer graduated from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL, in 2016 with a B.A. in English and Communications. She currently lives in Pilsen, a neighborhood that she feels fosters a strong connection to Chicago.
Out of college, Kali worked for Dealer eProcess as a Content Writer for two years before moving on to Youtech & Associates. There, her main job as Project Manager is to take on the role of Managing Editor for UrbanMatter, a digital Chicago-based nightlife and entertainment guide. Kali’s work has also been published through Chicago Scene Magazine. She is currently writing a book Sinister Chicago, to be published in 2020 by Globe Pequot Press.
Writing has always been her escape and her passion, which eventually morphed into an editorial obsession by the time she graduated. She believes that clean copy and detail-oriented proofreading are essential to producing truly impressive work, and she has demonstrated that through various internships, projects, and jobs along the way.
On the weekends, Kali enjoys reading in the sunroom, running through her neighborhood, observing art and theatre, and finding little moments of peace in the midst of this busy life. Kali’s professional portfolio can be found on UrbanMatter. Examples of her more extensive research projects are on her blog. Find more information on Sinister Chicago at her personal website.
