She is President and CEO of AAR & Assocs. Ltd. which has over 15 years of experience as a leader in both Management and Technology tools.
AAR specializes in working with several software solutions developed by our strategic partners and are utilized by large public and private institutions. In addition to these software capabilities we provide on-going support, both on-line, and in-person training. We specialize in training the trainer. AAR has expert project managers that help to maintain large projects on track. Current projects include management and/or support for B2G Now (MWDBE compliance software); INFOR Global (Hansen) at the City of Chicago. Our primary software service capabilities are also in Cisco and Microsoft and are VM Ware resellers and service providers. Past projects include being a Heartland partner at CPS, for the Cafeteria Systems which involved hardware, software implementation and training the end users. Within the last seven years, AAR has developed its telecom capabilities in small cell, Wi-Fi, LTE, and DAS arenas.
Arabel is the founder of RUNWAY LATINx and also co-founder and principal of Latino Fashion Week® (LFW™). “This endeavor has allowed me to use my business acumen, my wide variety of contacts, and my creative side to its fullest,” says Arabel. She has been producing and a leader in the Latino fashion industry for the past thirteen years. Through her work in fashion Arabel has created a vehicle that helps several non-for-profits. RUNWAY LATINx is a multi-day branded entertainment environment providing opportunities for those interested in the fashion industry, including celebrities, musical talent, media and consumers. RUNWAY LATINx is a three-day event featuring runway shows, VIP receptions, sophisticates tea, and much much more. There will be pop-up shows in Miami and L.A.
Arabel’s latest project, Pivoting in Heels (PIH) is a media platform on YouTube that offers ambitious people insights and professional tips to successfully pivot through every area of their lives. PIH is presented through the eyes of creator and host, Arabel Alva Rosales, JD, lifestyle and career expert, who offers her personal insights in career, tech, fashion, health, and lifestyle. Pivoting in Heels also features behind the scenes looks and interviews from Arabel’s beautiful and successful friends. PIH is a transformative platform that shows you how to discover how and when to pivot to create a life you love.
However, her proudest accomplishment is being the mother of a dynamic, energetic and knowledge-seeking daughter. “She keeps me priority focused”, says Arabel. “We are always looking for opportunities to enjoy time with each other and learn new things”, says Arabel. Together, she and her daughter Alina, became first degree Black Belts in Tae-kwon-do, have traveled and taken dance classes. “These are bonding experiences, and we also learn so much from each other,” says Arabel.
Arabel holds an undergraduate degree from Mundelein at Loyola University in Liberal Arts with a major in Business Administration. In May of 2001, she obtained her J.D. from DePaul College of Law, where she has been a recipient of the law school’s leadership scholarship award and Mayor Daley’s Leadership scholarship. Additionally, she is alumni of Leadership Greater Chicago and completed an Executive Program at Tuck Business School at Dartmouth.

Produced by Arabel Alva Rosales, J.D., who has been a co-founder of Latino Fashion Week (LFW) for the last twelve years. This year’s theme, The Phoenix, also exemplifies Arabel’s forward transformation with RLx, which will now be in place of the former LFW. Latinx is a term that is more inclusive and considered general neutral. The multi-day branded entertainment environment provides opportunities for fashion designers and sponsors to come face-to-face with celebrities, musical talents, media, and major consumers.
