For 25 years the Black Women’s Expo has connected Black women and their families by showcasing extraordinary Black owned businesses. Vendors vary from clothing brands, book authors, and non profit organizations. Attendees also include the Chicago Defender and 107.5 WGCI Radio Show plus more. Beginning April 3rd and lasting until April 5th, this prestigious event brings thousands in attendance at the McCormick Place. If you own a business, this event is for you!
Although the BWE offers a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to network and reach new potential clients, it is open for the public too, not just business owners. As a guest it is guaranteed you will find entertainment from live performances while shopping.
If you are interested in renting a booth it does come with a fee of course, however it gives merchants creative freedom to display products in a space to be trendy and fun.
As well as vendors, guests can enjoy keynote speakers. Chicago Radio and TV Personalities, such as Kendra G and Tone Kapone, discuss a variety of topics and conduct in depth interviews. Last year Jeanne Sparrow (Radio Personality) and News Anchor women Cheryl Burton hosted the Phenomenal Woman Awards Gala.
The Black Women’s Expo has been thriving for years. Giving the community a chance to connect with one another and share wonderful pieces of creative work from all backgrounds. All are welcomed- women, men and children. There is something for the entire family to enjoy. Following behind Black History Month, the Black Women’s Expo is the perfect celebration not to be missed.
