2018 is off to a running start for award-winning Canadian rock band, Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold.
January saw the powerhouse trio sharing the stage with industry vets Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot), Chris Ralles (Pat Benatar), Mitch Perry (The Sweet) and L7 at the legendary Whisky a Go Go.
The start to what the group has deemed their 2018 “Canadian Invasion” tour in support of Perry’s latest album, “Onto the Floor”, other confirmed boastworthy appearances include: Vans Warped Tour (Toronto), East Coast Music Conference (Norfolk VA), Jersey Shore Festival (New Jersey), Yellow Springs Street Fair (Ohio) along with the band’s Chicago debut at International Pop Overthrow this month.
Founded 17 years ago, International Pop Overthrow is a touring music festival series which features between 25 to 180 of the best bands from around the world on each of its city circuits.
Responsible, in part, for launching the careers of major acts like Maroon 5, Phantom Planet, and The Click Five, this year’s Chicago event runs from Friday April 20th beginning at 8 pm until Saturday April 28th ending at 1 am at The Heartland Cafe (formerly Red Line Tap) located at 7006 N Glenwood Ave, Chicago, IL 60626, USA.
Acclaimed one of the Top #10 talents across Canada and the #1 rock band in their hometown of London, Ontario, Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold, will be showcasing their high energy and refreshing modern rock style on day two of the Chicago affair – Saturday April 21st – at 11 pm.
Coined the “perfect antidote to formulaic pop”, attendees can surely anticipate an overthrow of the mainstream genre by Perry and crew’s highly anticipated performance.
