Former President Bill Clinton takes his eight years of Presidential experience to turn a political thriller into a real-life nightmare in “The President is Missing”. Best-selling author, James Patterson, co-authored the book with Clinton to create a one-of-a-kind political thrill ride. Patterson is most famously known for his mystery-thriller series “Alex Cross.”
Former President Bill Clinton sat down on the stage of the astounding Auditorium Theater to promote the book, and share how relevant is for the current state of our union. President Clinton opened the conversation by saying, “Having a public event in Chicago, that’s not political, is an oxymoron,” which grew a large burst of laughter and applause from the crowd.
Clinton clearly felt right at home in the Democratic base of Chicago. He spoke about the importance of championing several democratic issues like gun control, voter suppression and gender-equality. In the book, Clinton writes many female lead roles in important positions of power. “First of all, women are very underrepresented in important governments of office,” he said. “And as you know, I attempted to remedy that.” The audience clapped and cheered at the mention of Hillary Clinton.
